The Singapore Botanic Gardens on Orchard Road is the only tropical garden listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over 10,000 species of flowering plants and trees grow on 82 acres of greenery. The main attractions are the National Orchid Garden and the Jacob Ballas Kindergarten, the world's first garden exclusively for children. The vast area in the city center is ideal for an invigorating jog or a relaxing picnic with friends, family and pets. There is no entrance fee to this botanical garden. You can go anywhere for free, not the orchid center, which has a small fee of only $1 for adults.
